The Academy

Throughout the year, they work with leading figures of the music world in masterclasses, encounters, and public concerts.
Beyond artistic refinement, the Academy supports duos in shaping their musical identity, reflecting on the profession, and finding their place in professional life. It also fosters exchange between generations of artists, educators, concert programmers, and cultural partners.
Conceived as a place of transmission, rigour, and sharing, the Piano-Piano Academy helps keep an exceptional musical heritage alive and bring it to wider audiences, while supporting those who will write its future.
Each year, the Academy's young duos perform in concert and take an active part in the life of the Rungis Piano-Piano Festival, giving audiences the chance to discover the emerging talents of this singular art form.
The international competition

Over the years, one thing has become clear: the piano duo deserves spaces for visibility and recognition worthy of the richness of its repertoire and the commitment of its performers.
Conceived as a natural extension of its existing work, this project would aim to reveal new talent, to foster connections between artists, educators, and professionals, and to help raise the profile of an art form that is still too rarely celebrated.
More than a competition, we imagine an international artistic gathering where musical excellence goes hand in hand with exchange, transmission, and support for younger generations.
Its format, its timeline, and its partners are still to be defined. But its ambition is already clear: to give the piano duo a new space for expression, discovery, and recognition on the international stage.
